The following Inclusion Resolution was adopted by the Me2/ Board of Directors in January 2019 and serves to guide our operations:
Diversity and inclusion are part of the DNA of Me2/. Our mission is to erase the stigma surrounding mental illness, and this includes the stigma that everyone faces – including people of all walks of life. We therefore resolve to embrace and celebrate our staff, Board members, orchestra musicians and audience members who reflect diversity in age, gender identity, race, sexual orientation, physical and mental capabilities, and ethnicity. We seek to accommodate everyone who wishes to participate in our programs and strive to continue learning from the unique perspectives each person offers.
Me2/ Orchestra is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Me2/ Orchestra is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
